Tying up a storm

Winter has taken hold over the last week and finally we have a decent bit of snow of the local ski fields.

What better way to spend the evenings than getting ready for the upcoming fishing season. My favourite flies are those that can be used to cover a multitude of situations. Flies like a gold bead hare and copper or a pheasant tail. If you have these patterns in sizes 8-18 you will be able to cover the majority of situations.

Size 16 gold bead prince nymph. A firm favourite.
